Top Ten Pixar Movies

almost my entire life, I've been watching animated movies. especially Pixar. Pixar, to me, is one of the most recognizable industries in the movie scene with great movies like Toy Story, and not so great movies like Cars 2. As the holidays approach, I decided that I'd make a top ten list. let me know in the comments if you enjoy this top ten list and I will make more. so here it is, the Top Ten Pixar Movies.

10. Cars
This movie was put at number ten because of the fact that as great as it is, it isn't as well known for its movie aspects rather then its merchandise as the other ones on this list in my opinion. However, when it first came out 2006 I was amazed by how everything looked like a cartoon but acted like real life. A lot of Pixar films integrate real life scenarios, but this one included a scenario that not everybody goes through at least publicly. So it was great to see it play out in a way that we could relate.
9. Up
One thing I want to put out there, is that the way that Carl Fredricksen acts in the beginning of Up reminds me of my grandpa. He loves to cause arguments over little things just because he can. That's kind of how Carl is in the movie, nitpicking at every little thing Russel does. I guess that's what puts this movie at number 9. The jokes made in this movie by Carl towards the other characters is enough to make most anyone giggle.
8.Ratatouille
The first Pixar movie to include mainly humans as the cast, this movie is has a relaxing feeling to it. I don'd know if its the fact that the movie takes place in Paris or what, but whenever I watch this movie, I don't feel excited, but in a good way. It doesn't make me feel as if everything is going to happen at once. This movie is very paced in the story.
7.Monsters University
I actually had the opportunity to see this movie in theaters and it was an awesome movie. The story has some hilarious moments as well as some heartfelt moments. What I like most about this movie is that the events of this movie lead to the events of Monsters Inc. It tells of how they got jobs at Monsters Incorporated as well as how they become friends.
6.  Brave
This movie to me has it all. Jokes, beautiful animation, and an excellent story. The best part is is that the story isn't as typical as other Pixar movies in that is has a strong female character. Not only that, but it includes folk lore from Irish origins. It's very beautifully made and the second movie by Pixar to mostly include human characters and one that I believe will be enjoyed for a long time to come.
5. The Incredibles
Who doesn't enjoy a good superhero movie every now and then? What about an entire family of  superheros? This movie is action packed compared to the other movies. The whole movie includes not necessarily fight scenes, but there is a lot of action. This is also one of the few Pixar movies that will keep you on edge.
4. Monsters Inc.
I don't think I've ever thought there were monsters in my closet or under my bed. But this movie shows us that there could indeed be monsters in our closet. But not all of them bad. It's a very sweet movie that has the perfect ending and shows us that not everyone is a jerk. This movie gets this spot in the top ten list because families can watch it together countless times.
3. WALL-E
This movie conveys its message in a different way than most movies in general. Throughout the entire first half of the movie, WALL-E and EVA spend time together without saying a word, save for the occasional boop and beep here and there or a few words. What makes this movie amazing is the fact that not having spoken words, makes this movie so much better because we are still able to understand the message behind the movie
2. Toy Story 3
The reason that this movie gets this spot is because of the fact that if you've watched all of the Toy Story movies, this one might have pulled your heart strings. this movie was very lovable because Andy is now going to collage and is leaving his toys behind while his toys aren't quite ready to part. I love this movie because these toys will do anything to be with their dear Andy.
1. Toy Story
This movie is my ultimate favorite when it comes to animated movies. This movie is the first Pixar Movie that was made but it wasn't always expected to do as well as it did. In fact it was expected to fail. When this movie was sold out on its premier, the company was astounded. The audience had never seen anything like this before but once they did, they wanted more. So its no surprise that this amazing movie made number one on the Top Ten Pixar Movies.

Well there you have it. Now before you get upset about certain movies being at certain numbers, I just want to say that this is my personal opinion on the best and worst Pixar movies. Anyway, I hope you have a happy holiday! Again, if you enjoyed this Top Ten let me know and I will do more! I'd enjoy the feedback. Thanks for reading!

Valve Can Count to Three

I've played a few of Valve's games including, the Left 4 Dead series and Portal 2. Although I haven't played any of the Half-Life games, I know that they are among the more famous games of the series. For those of you who don't know, the game primarily centers around Gordon Freeman who you play as in a first person point of view in a world where an alien-virus-thingy has infected most everyone. Something like that. Like I said. I haven't played it, but I do plan on playing it when I can. Now, as you might already know, a Half-Life 3 has been confirmed, no joke. There isn't a release date yet or any other details except that the program that Valve is using is designed to keep anyone who isn't currently working on the game from seeing any aspect of it. Also there have been rumors of a Left 4 Dead 3 and possibly another Portal game, not necessarily a Portal 3, though. These rumors sparked when an email containing folders labeled with these names were leaked.  It was later confirmed by a developer from Valve that the email was real and that they are discussing making these games. I guess we will have to wait and see. Post in the comments below what your favorite Valve game is and have a great day!

Walking Dead Spin-Off

Hey guys, hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving! There is no doubt that you've at least heard of the Walking Dead. For those of you who are fans of the show, I know I am, you saw an awesome mid-season finale. What many of you might not know however, is an upcoming spin off of the show. There isn't a name yet, but it is reported to be based around the origin of the spread of the infection, as well as take place in a different place. No specific details have been released but it is set to premiere in 2015. I know that this entry is short but I do hope to put longer ones up, as well as maybe another post this week. Also for those of you who are reading my blog thank you. Spread the word if you can, please. It makes me happy to know that I'm writing for actual people and not to my self. Thanks again! Post in the comments below who your favorite character from the walking dead is. And remember: no spoilers.

Link Between Worlds Review

Happy Thanksgiving! In my last post I talked about the new game Link Between Worlds. This past weekend I was able to play some of this fantastic game. I wasn't able to to play the whole game, but I able to get through the first two dungeons. First of all, I want to say that the graphics are amazing. Even though it has a 3D look to it, it still retains the same over world look from Link to the Past. The story progression is organized and pretty much the same as the LttP as far as order and fluidity. I had mentioned before that I was upset that you could rent items throughout the game, but I found out is that renting is a necessary part of the game. In each dungeon that I went to, I had to rent an item from Rovi, a traveling salesman who takes refuge in your home. I wasn't able to see any aspect of the multiplayer, but the rest was just beautiful. It had smooth game play, with puzzles that were challenging but still capable of being solved with little difficulty. As well as some easter eggs and some witty dialogue. All together though, I think this game was excellent from the little bit that I played. Post in the comments below on what game you are thankful for getting!

Link Between Skyrim?

Hey guys. Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday. I'm trying to get a post up every Wednesday, but I think I'm going to try posting once a week. So anyway lets get started. Nintendo is one of my favorite game companies and have created many iconic games. They've made Pokemon, Mario, Kirby, and my favorite, Zelda. The Legend of Zelda first came out in 1986, and has gone through quite a lot of changes since then. The newest game, set to come out tomorrow for the 3DS, is a sequel to the 1991 game Link to the Past, called Link Between Worlds. The game is set in the same over world map of its predecessor, but still has a few minor differences. The only thing I'm not to happy about is the fact that there is no specific order in which you go through the dungeons. If you've played any of the series, you know that in order to reach a dungeon, you have to complete the previous dungeon. In Link Between Worlds, you have the option of renting items that you need and using them until you give them back or die, in which case you lose those items until you rent them back or actually earn them in their respective dungeons. Another cool feature is the ability to become flat and move on flat surfaces as a wall painting. Although the game is set in the overhead view most of us know, turning into the painting causes the camera angle to allow you to see a full view of your self as well as other aspects of the world that you wouldn't be able to see otherwise. Another amazing feature is battling via Street Pass. Using Street Pass, you can fight against another player in an arena where you use the items you currently have equipped and the amount of health you already have. When you win, you earn the opponents bounty, (not sure what that is for), and they lose that much. What I like is that for one thing, you don't have to accept the battle, and two your opponent looks like Shadow Link. I don't know if you can only have one-on-one battles or what but it's a really neat concept that might make Zelda more popular or less popular. Write in the comments what your favorite Zelda game is, and have a great day!

Catching Fire Casting Change

How many of you are excited for 'Catching Fire' coming out next week? I know I am. You all know the characters and the people who played them in the movie. But there is going to be a casting change for this movie. It's none other than Buttercup! You know, the black cat in the first movie that didn't at all match the description of the book? This casting change was actually made by Suzanne Collins herself. Generally, the authors of books that are turned into movies have almost no say in the cast choices, but since this was a minor change they decided to let it go. But how cool is it going to be when a cat that actually looks how Buttercup is supposed to, shows up in the movie for like, 5 or 10, seconds and...... now that i think about, not that cool. At least it will be more accurate! That's it for now! Put in the comment section below what good luck charm you would bring into a Hunger Games arena!

Assassin's Creed Movie

Hi. I've started this blog mostly to see if people will read it, but also to let people know of upcoming movies, T.V. shows, and even games as well as occasional reviews of them. Don't worry though. I wont be giving away spoilers what-so-ever. that being said, I would like to start off with a movie. If you are a gamer, and a fan of Ubisoft, then you may already know of one major movie that is coming out soon. Assassin's Creed. The movie, directed by Michael Fassbender, is planned to be based off of the first game in the franchise. There were plans since around 2010 or so to make the movie, but Ubisoft was caught in a sort of "custody" battle over who would direct the movie. Ubisoft had wanted to give the movie rights to Sony, but Hollywood wouldn't allow it because they didn't want Sony to have that much power. last year, (or earlier this year, I cant really remember), they settled the dispute and Ubisoft is now going to produce the movie along with universal studios and 20th Century Fox. One thing that disappointed me was the fact that Fassbender has never played any of the Assassin's Creed games. Now, before you get your torches and pitchforks ready, Ubisoft has told him the story line and he has said that based of the story itself he is a fan, so i believe, and hope, that he will do his best to make the movie the best it can be. The movie is set to come out in theaters on May 22, 2015. if there is anything I mentioned that was wrong, or that I didn't mention that i should have, feel free to mention so i can correct it for other viewers. And also any suggestions on what I should review or talk about would be accepted and appreciated.

Update: The release date has been pushed back to August 7, 2015 in the U.S.
